Thermochromic Colour-Changing Garments For Kids

Tiruppur-based Mr. Chockalinngam, Director of Sivalai Agencies has developed a new product for kids that has amazing features. It is a colour-changing garment that can detect if the baby has a fever and notify the parents. The colour-changing feature works by using a special dye that reacts to the body temperature of the baby. When the temperature rises above 38°C, which is the normal threshold for fever, the dye changes from red to white, indicating that the baby has a fever.

The colour change lasts until the temperature goes back to normal, or until the garment is washed. The parents can then check the baby’s condition and take appropriate action. The product also has a mosquito repellent and UV protection coating to keep the baby safe from insects and sunburns. The product is made of 100% cotton knitted fabric that is soft and comfortable.

The best part is that he has used only “BLUESIGN” certified chemicals, which means no hazardous substances are involved in the production process. “BLUESIGN” is a global standard for environmental, health and safety performance in the textile industry. It ensures that the chemicals used are safe for humans and the environment, and that water and energy consumption are minimized. This product is not only innovative but also eco-friendly and safe for the baby’s health.

Garment is not only a captivating wearable for children but also a practical solution for monitoring their temperature in various settings. With its ability to sense temperature changes and display vibrant Colours accordingly, this innovative garment merges fashion, technology, and safety.
