The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) recently organized an MSME Outreach Programme at Hotel Hemala, Karur, on November 20, 2024. The event was tailored for Karur’s MSME clusters, particularly those in the textile industry, and was attended by around 70 participants.

Shri P. Gopalakrishnan, President of the Karur Textile Manufacturer Exporters Association (KTMEA), chaired the programme, which saw participation from other industry leaders and dignitaries. Key topics included government subsidies, SIDBI’s initiatives, and the bank’s plans to strengthen its presence in Karur.

Shri P. Praveen Kumar, General Manager and Regional Head of SIDBI Chennai, detailed the bank’s schemes and emphasized its commitment to supporting the MSME sector. He also announced SIDBI’s upcoming branch in Karur, a move that is expected to bolster the region’s economic growth.

Additionally, the General Manager of the District Industries Centre (DIC) discussed various state government subsidies available to MSMEs, providing valuable insights for the attendees.

The participants, representing a wide range of industries, expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive information and support offered during the event, underscoring the significance of such initiatives for local businesses.
